I'm partial to the Olds 455. Buddy of mine (guy I hang out with at cruise nights who is old enough to be my dad but still a cool guy) has a 71 442 with a 455. 41k original miles, factory manifolds, engine has never been rebuilt. Sounds damn good for being the low compression year. Sounded even more amazing when he put Flowmaster 40 series mufflers on it.

Why is it every exhaust sound video on youtube is unedited at the start? Get some video editing software and spend two minutes cropping the 'walk from camera to get in car.' Or have a friend hit record right as you fire up the engine—it's not that hard.

Took the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low.
